From Russia with love

A friend of mine (and her husband) stopped by on 6 August to visit me on their way back to Sheffield, England from Russia. It was great to have dinner with them (an Indonesian rijsttafel 'rice table' at Restaurant Kantjil en de Tijger) and show them a bit of Amsterdam. Next time, though, they need to stay longer than a night! LOL. And, at my request, they brought me 3 skeins of wonderful Russian yarn! It is Соната {Sonata} yarn, a 50-50 wool-acrylic blend, made by Камтекс {Kamteks}. I decided that I would try to make the Swell toque from Knitty with it. And hopefully there'll be enough left over for a matching scarf or mittens or something.... (I doubt it, but here's to hope!) ^^
